By removing algae from the surface while leaving submerged aquatic plant life largely undisturbed, this approach can help restore open water while retaining plants that contribute oxygen to the watercourse.

Addressing Recurring Algae Growth

Recurring algae problems can be associated with nutrient-rich conditions and accumulated silt within the watercourse. Where appropriate, removing silt from the bottom can help reduce the nutrients available to support future algal growth.
