Restoring Balance to a Welsh Canal

Targeted cutting and reed management to restore balance to a stretch of canal affected by invasive growth.

Targeted Vegetation Management

In Wales, our team carried out targeted cutting and reed management to restore balance in a stretch of canal suffering from invasive growth. Dense vegetation had reduced the available open water and affected navigation through the section. Using the Truxor, our operators were able to work selectively through the affected areas, cutting excessive vegetation and managing the established reed growth without unnecessarily disturbing areas of valuable habitat. The completed works improved navigation and the appearance of the canal while restoring a healthier balance between open water and aquatic vegetation, supporting the wider ecosystem function of the waterway.
